Hayden Spotlighted as First Female Strength and Conditioning Coach in MLB

Andrea Hayden, who has a master's degree in human performance from Lindenwood and also worked full-time in the Athletic Performance Department, was recently featured in a story on MLB.com as the first female strength and conditioning coach in the history of Major League Baseball. Hayden left Lindenwood for a fellowship with MLB in 2019 and joined the coaching staff with the Minnesota Twins in November.

Dr. Grant Black Presents at Missouri Council for the Social Studies

Grant Black, Ph.D., associate professor of economics and associate director of the economic education center, presented “Election Economics” on Feb. 22 at the 2020 Conference of the Missouri Council for the Social Studies held at the Missouri History Museum.

Athletic Training Students Place First in MOATA Quiz Bowl

A team of Lindenwood’s athletic training students traveled to Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo., on Feb. 1, where they placed first in the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association (MoATA) Quiz Bowl. The quiz bowl took place at the Eighth Annual MoATA Educators and Student Leadership Conference.

Cheer Squad Interviewed by Fox 2 After Appearance on 'Cheer'

Members of Lindenwood University's cheerleading squad were interviewed for a segment on KTVI, channel 2 about the popular Netflix show Cheer, which focuses on a college cheerleading team. Earlier this season, the Lindenwood squad made an appearance on the show.
